NEW MERCHANDISE HAS ARRIVED!!

New Merchandise has arrived!!! We just received a new shipment of western decor and Iron furniture which includes new padded rocking chairs that come in state of Texas, fluer de lis, and star designs. Deer firescreens and lots of metal stars and wagon wheels. Also we received a LARGE closeout flower deal that has alot of beautiful pre-made arrangements. A few new closeouts came in which include some iron pieces and we're expecting another closeout truck some time next week. We've also got alot of items that are fluer de lis that have been a big hit!

We've also added a new employee to the General Wholesale gang. Missy is our new office secretary in the front. So if you come in be sure and pop in and say hello and get to know her. We're glad she's with us!

In Memory of....

The family of General Wholesale has lost a vital part this week. Donna Gullette, our secretary and as most of you know her "our check in" lady, was called home to be with the Lord last Thursday, September 25, 2008. She is going to be very missed by all who knew her.

We love and miss you Donna Gayle!

GENERATORS!

Do you need a generator for yourself or for your customers?? We got a truckload in on Monday morning and by early afternoon they were all gone. We have another truckload coming in on Friday. On the truck on Friday there will be some 5000 watt and also some 7000 watt generators. I am taking names and quantities now. If you want some or even just one, give me a call so I can get your name on what you want.
More good news!! We got in alot of home decor today - specifically lot of Fleur de Lis items. Some really great merchandise. Give us a call if you have any questions.

HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN????

I wanted to tell you about a few things that came in...

We got a new shipment of wicker furniture in - white and brown, 4 pieces for $120

We also have more 1200 watt generators than we like to carry, so we are going to let those slide out the door for $88 each if you buy 3 or more at a time.

I think I told you about the Libby glassware in the last post but let me give you the run down on that! We will sell it by the pallet, by the case or even by the piece. There is every size tea glass that you could possibly want, lots of different sizes and styles of what I would call a margurita glass, some sets that have a pitcher with a set of glasses to go with it. Lots of variety.

Pam and Sandy have been busy this morning putting some new fountains together that just came in and as I was thinking of how to describe them, it occured to me that pictures would be MUCH better - I have to say the one that looks like a well is my favorite and it will look really great on my front porch!!

Leonard and Sheila have been busy up in flowers.

They have gotten some new Christmas and Fall merchandise in and as usual it is really, really great!

Mike is gone!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's true - the insane have been left in charge of the asylum!
When the cat's away - the mice will play!!
Anyway.......I guess you get my drift!
MIKE IS OUT OF TOWN AND WILL BE GONE A WHOLE WEEK!!
He is gone on a buying trip and the last thing he said before he left was
"Make lots of room for all the new merchandise coming in!"
The way I see it is we can do it the hard way - or we can do it the easy way... I think what he envisions is us moving stuff around and stacking things higher, which would involve some real manual labor. We have put our heads together and have come up with a better solution -
We will continue the 1/2 price sale from today (Thursday 8/7/08) thru August 13th (the day Mike gets back) and lets just move this stuff right out the door instead of shifting it around.
If you haven't been here in a couple of weeks we have gotten some new merchandise. In the front, Leonard & Sheila have been working hard to get new flowers, & trees out along with our new fall and Christmas merchandise. In the back, we have gotten in 3 trucks (53' trucks!) of closeouts in, a good selection of glass ware from Libby's, knifes and some regular goods.
So we still have plenty to pick from - we are just waiting for you!

Auction, June 2008

We had an Auction this past Saturday (June 14th) and I thought I would share the pictures we took that day. I think the youth group at First Baptist Church in Mooringsport made some pretty good money for their summer mission program. I talked to some of the kids that were here Saturday working the auction and some of them had participated in RAM Week last year and they were really pumped up. I hope you enjoy the pictures as the auction was a lot of fun for us!

Gotta' see the new furniture!

What a week this has been! We worked Monday - glad to see those that managed to come up that day.

Since I last checked in we have gotten 3 trucks in

Tomorrow, (Friday) we will have another furniture truck and Monday we will have a truck with lots of different stuff on it.

Don't forget to mark it on your calender - June 14th! That is the day of our auction. We have parterned up with Mooringsport Baptist Church to do an Auction that will benefit their Youth Summer Mission Program. They call it RAM Week - Reaching Across Mooringsport. They target some folks in their own home town that have some needs and try to meet those needs. These youth have been doing this for their community for the past 5 years and they have some great projects they really want to get done this summer during that mission week. So try to come out and help us with this project and get some great stuff while you are at it. The following are some of the items that will be auctioned off on the 14th.

Inventory Liquidation Auction

We did this auction with them last year, but we didn't do it here.

Just so you know - we will have a truck here on Friday morning, May 16th - this truck will be almost all furniture and I think some really good deals. We have actually bought two truck loads of furniture and will not know what is on this first truck on Friday until it gets here. It should be out and ready to sell, early afternoon on Friday.

Mike has worked out a deal for a large order of the small generators, for those of you that are waiting for those. We have also had a lot of phone calls for pellet rifles & pellet pistols and Mike has finally found some! As soon as I know when the generators, rifles & pistols will be delivered, I will send out an update.

We have gotten about 6+" of rain overnight and today and it just keeps coming! I hope you are all high and dry and selling lots of stuff!

Surprise!

Happy Monday to you all! I hope yours is going well.
We had a meeting this morning and decided that we WILL be open on Monday,May 26th, which is Memorial Day. We have had a few phone calls and decided that we want to accomadate those of you that have a hard time getting here during our regular weekly hours. SO...if you are off work on Memorial Day, we will be open and would love to have you come shop. We are going to come up with EXTRA SPECIAL SPECIALS for that day and I will get a post out to you later to tell you what the extra specials will be.
This week we are hoping to get a couple of truckloads of furniture in. The furniture is ready for us to pick up as soon as we find a truck to transport it to us. Mike is working on a tool order and we are hopeful that order will come together sometime this week.

What's new?

We have gotten a great selection of 3pc and 4pc Basket Sets in - several sizes, shapes and color.
Mike has put the 6'x9' rugs on sale this week for $15.00!!!
Sandy is working on putting a table in the front with a lot of merchandise priced at 4pc for a $1 - that will for sure be a big hit!

New Furniture - while it lasts...

We got this furniture in last week and a lot of it is already gone. This particular set was the first one to sell out. We still have a few sets left that we expect will sell quickly. Mike said we should have a new selection of couch and love seat sets soon.

NEW MERCHANDISE!!

Yes - Finally! We have started receiving the new merchandise that Mike ordered when he went to Market earlier this month. We have gotten a large order of canisters in and all the stuff that goes with them. Also some home decor, yard deco, roosters, western, and my favorite some GREAT fountains! We got some other stuff in too, but it is just too much to list.
